Mechanism: Travoprost is a prostaglandin F2α analog that increases uveoscleral outflow of aqueous humor, reducing intraocular pressure.
Pharmacokinetics: Applied topically, absorbed through the cornea, rapidly hydrolyzed to active free acid. Peak effect within 12 hours. Metabolized in liver, excreted mainly via urine.
