Mechanism & Pharmacokinetics ▼
Mechanism: Salbutamol is a selective β2-adrenergic agonist that relaxes bronchial smooth muscle, producing bronchodilation and rapid relief of airflow obstruction.
Pharmacokinetics: Onset within 5–15 minutes via nebulization. Metabolized in the liver and excreted mainly via urine. Duration approximately 4–6 hours.
