Pharmacokinetics: Minimal systemic absorption of aluminium and magnesium. Simethicone acts locally in the GI tract and is excreted unchanged in feces. Negligible renal or hepatic metabolism in normal patients.

May reduce absorption of tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones, iron supplements, and levothyroxine. Take other drugs at least 2 hours before or after antacid.
